At the bottom of the official NF download page is a 'Data File Download' which can fix the corrupt file error if you extract the contents and copy them over the files in the Navyfield folder (where you installed NF, which by default is C:\Program Files\SD EnterNET\NavyFIELD ).
Hope that fixes it.
